Techniques and Benefits
Hands-on massage techniques tailored for you

Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are found in your muscle fibres, all throughout the body. They're those stubborn ‘knots’ that can cause muscle pain, tension, restricted movement or even headaches. Trigger points can cause pain locally or radiate discomfort to other areas of the body.
They often develop from overuse, injury, stress, or poor posture and arise when muscle fibers become stuck in a contracted state, restricting blood flow and leading to a buildup of waste products.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic Massage session, I'll use focused pressure and release techniques, helping your body to let go of those stuck spots to help you feel looser, move better, and carry less stress in your muscles. This helps to improve circulation, detoxify, reduce pain, restore normal muscle function, and improve overall mobility.
For those who know it, Trigger point therapy is often associated with pain, but I can assure you, that this is not the case! I will never go over your personal boundaries, and we'll work together to find out where these are. With trigger point therapy, sensitivity is good, but jumping off my massage table in pain is not!

Connective Tissue (fascia) Release

Connective Tissue Release works with the tendons and fascia of the body.
Fascia is a thin web of connective tissue surrounding and supporting your muscles, joints, and organs. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can limit movement and create pain.
This restriction limits normal tissue sliding and function. Think of fascia as your body’s built-in suit of stretchy fabric. When it’s flexible, you move with ease. When it’s tight, everything feels stiff and achy.
This restriction can lead to altered posture, muscle tension, and referred pain due to the connections between the skin and the nervous system.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic Massage session, I'll work to ‘unstick’ and loosen these restrictions, focusing on the underlying layers of the skin.
I use deep, sustained techniques, such as skin rolling, fascia release tools and more, stimulating circulation, improving skin structure, mobility, posture, overall comfort and relief from stress and pain.
Sports Massage
Sports massage addresses specific muscle tension or imbalances, and areas of pain resulting from repetitive physical activity, for people with an active lifestyle.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic Massage session, I'll use the various techniques mentioned above such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and connective tissue release, focusing on specific (problem), areas.
Together we'll work to reduce any muscle tension, preventing injuries and keep you moving in order to get the best out of your active lifestyle.
A deep tissue massage targets chronic tension, knots, and adhesions in muscles and fascia to relieve pain or tension and improve mobility to ensure and maintain normal natural movement.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic Massage session or as a stand alone Deep tissue Massage, I'll use firm, and powerful strokes with fingers, thumbs, fists, or forearms to reach deep layers of muscle and connective tissue.
Deep tissue offers relief from back, neck, and shoulder pain, reduces muscle tension and stiffness in the legs and hips, restoring natural movement, flexibility and ease of motion, helping you to feel lighter, stronger, and more balanced.

Orthopedic Manipulation
Orthopedic manipulation is a combination of stretch and muscle relaxation techniques, joint mobilization plus various soft massage techniques.
This technique is ideal for treating postural muscles or muscles responsible for: walking, sitting, and standing, such as in the ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulders and neck.
These muscles are responsible for maintaining the body's posture and tend to shorten. We can then experience muscle tightening, limited movement and spasms.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic Massage session, I'll use manual pressure, stretching, and movement to help restore your range of motion, reset your body, ease pain in joints and muscles.

Relaxation Massage
A relaxation massage targets a necessity of life that unfortunately gets increasingly neglected these days: the need to relax.
A tense mind equals a tense body, so this massage creates a mindful pause.
I'll use gentle to firm pressure with slow flowing movements, releasing muscle tension and promoting relaxation throughout the whole body. The brain is told it’s safe to slow down. Simply dedicating time to rest, helps clear mental clutter and restore balance.
A relaxation massage also helps to improve overall mood and reduce anxiety by calming the nervous system, lowering stress hormones like cortisol and stimulating natural mood stabilizers such as endorphins and serotonin.
It improves circulation and oxygen flow, giving a sense of vitality and calm, with soothing music of your choice.

Cupping (Moving cups)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialised and very gentle form of massage, using no oil and done on the surface of the skin, not the muscles.
It's designed to stimulate the lymphatic system: your body’s natural detox and fluid-balancing network. Lymphatic vessels, tissues, organs, and glands work together to drain a watery fluid called lymph from throughout the body.
With very light, rhythmic massage and pumping movements, I'll guide lymph fluid toward healthy drainage points, helping to clear waste, fluid retention, swelling and congestion.
Each session concludes with a 15-minute quiet rest period, helping your lymphatic system and body make the most of the treatment.
MLD can be focused on specific focus areas (such as legs, face, abdomen, or arms) or applied as a general full-body treatment.
Cupping with moving cups is a dynamic technique that uses gentle suction to lift the layers of the skin and fascia, rather than pressing into the muscles.
This upward lift helps improve circulation, release tension, and create space in areas where tissues may feel tight, restricted, or stagnant.
By gliding the cups across the skin, the technique increases local blood flow and encourages the release of adhesions in the fascia. This release, makes any other applied techniques (such as muscles work) more effective, as it ‘frees up’ access to the deeper layers of the body.
Incorporated as part of a Therapeutic massage session, I'll use smooth, controlled movements, using the cups to gently mobilise tissue, helping to reduce stiffness, ease muscular discomfort, improve mobility, and stimulate natural detoxification processes.
Cupping can be used on various areas of tension such as the back, neck, shoulders, or legs.
Restorepoint Therapy eased my chronic neck pain with expert care and a calming touch.
